derivation

What’s a "pseudoroom"? In 1996, as a scruffy lad in art school, Justin’s fledgling web site was a virtual folio display in a quasi physical space: a pseudo room. The name has stuck through the course of time. The broad concept is derivative of his passion for design; in particular, its infusion with the digital landscape.

Throughout the years, this site has served as a personal creative outlet, and a product of technical and visual experimentation. A stroll down memory lane recounts some of those previous designs.

past and present

A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Justin is a multi-faceted, multi-pierced, multi-tattooed designer who cites Carlos Segura and Josef Müller-Brockmann among his design influences.

He's an extremely proud father. He has shaken Steve Jobs' hand. He's a bit of a watch fetishist. He's got "U-S-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y-!" tattooed on his fingers. Ok, that's not entirely true; it's a tramp stamp.

Currently, Justin is the Creative Director for Nansen Chicago. Past and present, he's worked with amazing brands including Sony, Chase, SRAM, IBM, Groupon, Humana, and Griffin Technology.

Me, iconically.
